كيمياء حيوية طبية

It is an intensive lecture and laboratory course that give some information about the clinical biochemistry including the biochemical tests which used extensively in medicine, (water, Sodium and potassium distribution), hydrogen ion and blood gases, detection of kidneys function parameters and liver function parameter, plasma proteins and enzymes, disorders of carbohydrate metabolism and inherited metabolic diseases………

This course helps to understand how to diagnose problems by using a verity of biochemical tests as well as in different samples such as blood, urine and body fluids such as cerebrospinal fluid, amniotic fluids.

   1- Define the clinical biochemistry

2- Investigate the measurement of different body fluids.

3- To describe the uses of biochemical test clinically

4- To understand the importance of diagnosing the diseases by using biochemical tests.

5- To understand liver and kidney functions

   6-To understand the clinical nutrition

7- Describe some diseases associated with carbohydrates disorders

8- To understand basic clinical laboratory aspects of some body fluids function working individually and in         small groups.

9- The student became an independent leaner, able to continue to grow as a student of biochemistry.
